Frankincense Luban

Description

Frankincense (Arabic: al-luban) is an aromatic resin used in incense and perfumes.

Frankincense is obtained from the trunk of the tree Boswellia sacra that grows in Oman and Yemen, the Arabian Peninsula and Somalia. Because it emits fragrance when burned, it has been used from time immemorial for worship but also for secular purposes as an essential component manufacturing incense. It is also used for healing and cleansing.
